We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting. Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients’ health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring proper meal planning and cooking.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting and transferring when necessary.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote emotional well-being and community involvement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the group home, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided, including any changes in condition or behavior, in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus.
- Strong skills in meal preparation and cooking for various dietary needs.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility as required.
- Previous experience in patient monitoring and long-term care settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
