Facilities Care Team Member (Weekends Only)
Our Facilities Care Team helps create a welcoming environment at Pathway by maintaining clean, safe, and inviting spaces for everyone who walks through our doors.
Supervisor: Facilities Associate Director
Hours: Part-time position (PT3) – 10-12 hours/week on average
Schedule: Saturdays 3-8pm and Sundays 7am-1pm
FLSA Status: Hourly – Non-Exempt
Summary:
The position of Facilities Care Team Member plays an important role in the daily operations of our ministry. This position works in conjunction with the Facilities team to maintain a clean and orderly space for PCC’s visitors and attendees. The incumbent will seek to use their personal gifts and skills to contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the church.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This individual must love God and people and have a vital, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. They are expected to actively attend or be open to attending Pathway Community Church and consider it their church home. The individual must possess strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. They must be flexible and
adaptable with scheduling, including occasional Friday evenings and Saturdays, as unexpected situations may arise. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding church operations, members, and guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for unlocking and securing the building at the start and end of each shift
- Ensures all rooms and areas are clean and ready to go for the services; walk-through and touch up of building before and after Saturday night service
- Complete the assigned shift checklist upon arrival and again prior to departure
- Maintain a consistent presence in the lobby areas throughout all services to promptly respond to any needs or situations that arise
- Continually check bathrooms to spot clean and replace supplies as needed
- Sweep and mop floors and stairways as needed due to weather conditions
- Spot vacuum as needed in lobby areas
- Gather and remove all trash throughout lobby as needed during the services and after the Saturday night service
- Must be able to physically lift tables and chairs
- Assist with setup and/or tear down to support various events as needed
- Serves as the Facilities primary point person during emergencies or varying situations by implementing and overseeing Pathway Community Church’s emergency response protocols in coordination with the Safety & Security Director and on-site police officers
