Leasing Adminstrator

Summary/Objective: The Leasing Administrator primary duties are to secure lease agreements from all qualified persons and properly market the property to achieve leasing and occupancy goals. The Leasing Agent is also very service-oriented and strives to make prospects and current residents feel welcome and comfortable in the community.
Classification: Non-exempt; overtime-eligible
Location: New York, NY 10022
Hybrid Schedule: Three days in office/2 days work from home
Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following
Administration & Compliance
- Notify prospective residents of application results and establish move-in dates/times for approved applicants.
- Complete all lease paperwork, related addenda, and process rents/deposits.
- Organize and file reports, leases, and paperwork; prepare complete move-in files.
- Answer incoming calls and handle inquiries professionally.
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing laws, ADA, FCRA, and all laws pertaining to affordable housing.
Administrative
- Notifies prospective residents of application results
- Establishes move-in date and time for approved applications
- Completes all lease paperwork including related addenda and accepts rents and deposits
- Organizes and files appropriate reports, leases, and paperwork
- Prepares and completes move-in files
- Answers incoming phone calls and handles each call accordingly
- Completes annual recertifications with all HPD PBV residents (200 in total)
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing laws, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to Affordable housing
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the field of leasing, including experience with affordable housing programs (Rent Stabilized, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Project Based Section 8)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in marketing
- Proficiency with MS office suite - Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Yardi software knowledge a must
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills necessary
- Must be able to work both independently and in a group setting
- Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

Pay Range: $22.00 - 27.00
