Facilities Specialist

Position Type: Part-time, Wednesday-following Tuesday (off on weekends), 8:00am-5:00pm

Primary Function: Under the general direction of the department supervisor, is responsible for receiving and shipping freight, filling supply orders, and assisting with maintaining equipment, supplies, and vehicle inventory control and records.

Work Performed:

Receiving

• Receives and unloads freight, checking for damage.
• Verifies quantity and quality of order, and items received with packing slips.
• Delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas.
• Tags and issues supplies to specific departments.
• Stock shelves and rotate inventory.
• May assemble and move furniture and assist with equipment and vehicles maintenance.
• Fills client supply orders.

Inventory Maintenance

• Monitors and inventories stockroom and printer drums/toners.
• Operates a personal computer to access and enter information in inventory system.
• Answers phone and provides effective solutions using superior customer service skills.
• May assist Purchasing Specialist with inventory management and solutions.
• May coordinate disposal of surplus property or shredding of files.

Facilities Maintenance

• Maintains refrigerators, freezers and agitator per procedure.
• Coordinates some facility physical needs with Lab management and hospital if needed.

Experience & Background: Experience handling and storing supplies and using inventory management software.

Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses: Valid driver's license required.
