GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Directs all elements of the Pathfinder, Inc. compliance process. Responsible for the monitoring of all programmatic components of Pathfinder regarding incident reporting and investigations, compliance with DHS, PASSE, and Pathfinder policies, procedures, and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs the activities of individuals assigned to the Quality Assurance Department.
- Secures background information regarding specific topics that might have relevance to the various components/programs at Pathfinder.
- Prepares applications/proposals regarding potential new program/funding sources.
- Coordinates meetings to discuss special projects.
- Follows up on the status of various job assignments and projects.
- Conducts special reviews and prepares special reports with recommendations as appropriate.
- Provides support and assistance directly or through utilization of quality assurance staff, for staff to expedite the completion of short term priority projects.
- Assists in the preparation for special events and activities.
- Coordinates the Pathfinder strategic planning process.
- Assists the Executive Director with tracking various tasks. This may include developing tracking processes.
- Coordinates the development and ongoing updating of a variety of management reports.
- Monitors specific data systems required/operated by Pathfinder or external agencies.
- Assists directly or through the utilization of quality assurance staff, in the preparation for external audits and assists with the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Participates as a representative of Pathfinder in training, task force groups and meetings with other provider groups, state agencies, etc.
- Manages Pathfinder incident reporting process and ensures proper reporting is made to all external agencies including overseeing and providing technical assistance in all investigations.
- Provides technical assistance to supervisors and other staff in policy/procedure compliance.
- Serves as primary contact for Pathfinder Grievances and as the Affirmative Action Officer.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field. Masters or law degree preferred. Five years of experience in social service or related work, including at least two years in a leadership capacity. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements with the exception of the requirement for a bachelor's degree.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format; Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Arkansas Driver's License, current auto liability insurance and registration and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
