As a Pharmacist, you will serve as a trusted healthcare resource for our patients — counseling on medications, managing therapy outcomes, and collaborating with prescribers to optimize care. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role where clinical expertise meets compassionate service every day.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Services
- Provide thorough medication counseling and patient education at every interaction
- Conduct comprehensive drug utilization reviews (DURs) to identify and resolve therapy issues — including interactions, duplications, and adherence gaps
- Administer immunizations and point-of-care screenings
- Monitor chronic-disease patients (diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, etc.) and proactively recommend therapy adjustments to prescribers
- Build lasting patient relationships that drive trust, loyalty, and better health outcomes
Dispensing & Operations
- Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions using Pioneer Rx pharmacy management software
- Process new, refill, and transfer prescriptions efficiently within Pioneer Rx
- Leverage Pioneer Rx reporting, workflow queues, and inventory tools to keep operations running smoothly
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state (NJ BOP), and DEA regulations
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Manage inventory, including ordering and returns, to minimize waste and prevent stockouts
Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree
- Active New Jersey pharmacist license in good standing
- Proficiency with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software (strongly preferred) or willingness to learn quickly
- Immunization-certified (APhA or equivalent)
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you genuinely enjoy talking to patients
Preferred
- Experience in a community or independent pharmacy setting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Arabic a plus for our patient population)
- Familiarity with third-party insurance billing, prior authorizations, and PBM processes

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
