What You'll do
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age requirements.
- Recognize when guests have had too much to drink and manage situations with professionalism.
- Take and fulfill beverage orders from both guests and servers.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
- Learn the names of our regular guests and provide personalized service.
- Record orders promptly and accurately in the register system.
- Process payments, handle credit card transactions, and make change as needed.
- Wash and sanitize glassware.
- Prepare garnishes and maintain an appealing presentation of snacks and appetizers.
- Keep bottles, glasses, and the bar organized and visually inviting.
- Clear and reset tables in the bar area as needed.
- Present drink menus, recommend selections, and answer questions about beverages.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly bar environment, including counters, sinks, shelves, and storage areas.
- Serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
- Report equipment problems and maintenance needs to the Assistant F&B Manager.
- Assist with restocking and inventory management.
- Be ready to step in and support overall restaurant operations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- T.I.P.S. certification required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests in the predominant language(s) spoken.
- Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and standard drink recipes.
- Basic math skills with the ability to manage money and operate a cash register.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours per shift).
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
