Qualifications
- Hold New Jersey Social Studies AND Law Enforcement certificates
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent experience in teaching and working with students
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the concepts of world language, safety, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing with students, staff, administration, and the community
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Have experience in teaching and working with adolescents in an alternative school setting.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and the interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
- Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
- Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
