Qualifications
- Must hold New Jersey teacher certificates in P-3 or K-6 and Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped
- Possess interpersonal skills with students, staff, parents & community
- Diagnose student strengths and weaknesses and match these skills with appropriate techniques and materials.
- Mastery of pedagogical and subject matter skills
- Demonstrate expertise in designing and implementing standards-based instruction
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
- Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
- Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others
- Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
- Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA
- Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
