Teacher of English as a Second Language at Public School No. 10

Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey English as a Second Language Certification
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching English as a second language
• Knowledge of the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework
• Knowledge of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management.
• Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing. Use proper grammar and vocabulary with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community.
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
• Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
• Must be computer literate
• Highly motivated result-driven educator
