Assistant Operations Manager

Patel's Kingston Lanes is a locally owned, family-operated entertainment center offering bowling, axe throwing, arcade games, and more. We take pride in providing a fun, welcoming environment where families, friends, and groups can come together and create great memories.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our entertainment center. This is a hands-on position that involves managing staff, assisting customers, maintaining facility operations, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

The ideal candidate is intelligent, organized, hardworking, and a quick learner who can think on their feet and solve problems. Previous management experience is a plus, but we value a positive attitude, strong work ethic, common sense, and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, leads by example, and is interested in building a long-term career with a growing family business.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

• Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations of the bowling alley, axe throwing area, arcade, and other entertainment offerings.
• Ensure all areas of the facility are clean, organized, safe, and operating efficiently.
• Help manage opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs when necessary.
• Identify operational issues and proactively find solutions.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.

Staff Management & Leadership

• Supervise and support employees during daily shifts.
• Assist with employee scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Lead by example and help create a positive, productive work environment.
• Ensure employees follow company policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
• Step in and assist team members wherever needed.

Customer Experience

• Ensure every guest has a positive and enjoyable experience.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
• Assist with group reservations, birthday parties, corporate events, and special bookings.
• Help maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for guests of all ages.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and overall guest experience.

Business Operations & Growth

• Assist ownership with improving operational efficiency and business performance.
• Monitor daily sales, transactions, and cash-handling procedures.
• Help develop ideas to increase revenue, improve customer experiences, and streamline operations.
• Support promotions, special events, and other business initiatives.
• Take initiative in learning different aspects of the business and identifying areas for improvement.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
