Summary:
We're looking for an Accounting Manager who thrives at the intersection of traditional accounting and technology-driven process improvement. This role is ideal for someone who finds satisfaction in both closing the books accurately and figuring out how to make that process faster and smarter next month.
You'll own critical month-end close functions, provide cross-functional oversight of accounts payable operations, and lead system implementation projects that modernize how we work. This is not a "maintain the status quo" role—we need someone who sees inefficiency and can't help but fix it.
This position reports directly to the Director of Accounting.

- Provide oversight of accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the function
- Provide support when needed to ensure seamless transaction flows between procurement, production, and AP
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and implement strong internal controls.
- Compile and analyze data for management reporting, often on tight timelines
- Support annual audit activities
- Support the FP&A team by providing accurate and timely reports to aid in financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Drive implementation and optimization of accounting systems and integrations (recent examples include Charted for vendor payments and 2-way PO matching in NetSuite)
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using available tools, AI solutions, and agent-based workflows
- Work with large data sets to scrub, validate, and transform information for reporting and decision-making
• Collaborate across Operations, Marketing, and other departments to support business needs
• Serve as a go-to resource for accounting-related questions and process guidance
• Step into ambiguous situations and drive resolution when ownership is unclear
What We're Looking ForExperience & Knowledge- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Background in the beverage, food, or CPG industry strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of how accounting transactions flow through procurement and production cycles, particularly from an AP perspective
- Experience working in NetSuite is strongly preferred; candidates with demonstrated systems aptitude and willingness to learn will be considered
- Exposure and/or experience with Federal Excise Tax filings for beverage companies (not required, nice to have).
- Advanced Excel proficiency (comfortable with large data sets, complex formulas, data transformation)
- Genuine interest in automation, AI tools, and emerging technologies that can improve accounting workflows
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and translate technical concepts across teams
- A driver, not a passenger - you take initiative and push projects forward without waiting to be asked
- Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment where priorities can shift
- Detail-oriented but able to zoom out and see the bigger picture
- A clear communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Someone who takes pride in leaving things better than they found them
