Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality food production
- Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation to uphold our restaurant’s standards of excellence
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating, maintaining consistency and attention to detail
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Enforce food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen activities
- Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
- Support catering and banquet services by overseeing large-scale food production and service logistics
- Supervise staff training, shift management, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment
Experience
- Proven culinary experience in fine dining settings with a strong background in food production and kitchen management
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams effectively in high-volume environments
- Extensive banquet experience with knowledge of catering operations and event food service
- Familiarity with inventory management, cost control, and food handling best practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and manage shift operations confidently
- Experience working within the food industry, including restaurant management or hospitality settings
- Knowledge of food safety standards, dietary accommodations, and menu planning for diverse clientele
- Previous roles involving food service management, catering coordination, or restaurant experience are highly valued
