OBJECTIVE

To help carry out the mission of Passion City Church, that we are: for God, for people, for the city, and for the world. Lead the bloom Passion Kids ministry at Passion City Church DC. Cultivate and develop a team of Door Holders who create an atmosphere of faith, encouragement, belief, worship, and truth for newborn through 5th grade aged kids at Passion City Church. Our desire is that our bloom and Passion Kids children would grow up to be a generation of worshippers who are marked by their love for Jesus and His Word and who desire to live their lives for His Fame.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Embody and champion the culture of Passion City in Washington, D.C.
• Lead bloom and Passion Kids and environments on Sundays at our D.C. location, including host team, small group, and large group experiences and the scheduling of Door Holders.
• Recruit, train, and shepherd the bloom and Passion Kids Door Holders of our House; create a culture of leadership development that includes regular training & leadership events.
• Collaborate with the bloom and Passion Kids Teams at all PCC locations to develop curriculum that fits with the overall vision of our church and is solidly implemented at all age levels.
• Plan, execute and host quarterly family events and other special events including baby dedications.
• Create trusted relationships with parents and families by communicating with them consistently and intentionally.
• Constantly dream and envision how bloom and Passion Kids can be the most fun and engaging place for kids, and how our environments can be reconfigured to accommodate continued growth.
• Manage re-stocking of environment and curriculum supplies, while operating within budgeted spending levels and timely submitting expense reports.
• Ensure that all administrative tasks for bloom and Passion Kids are completed with excellence.
• Participate in all-team moments, including but not limited to: Door Holder events, Team Leader meetings and one Neighborhood Night.

Monday-Thursday 9a-5p all day Sunday

AN IDEAL INDIVIDUAL

The ideal candidate has a heart for children’s ministry and a passion for creating spaces for children to encounter Jesus. Possesses a capacity to both be relational and execute on details. Comfortable working in a team environment with an ability to connect with children and parents. Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Takes ownership of their work and sees projects through to completion. Committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment and following church policies. Demonstrated experience in verbal and written communications, leadership, and project management. Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of children’s ministry experience preferred.
