What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychology Faculty - Full-Time Tenure Track position at Passaic County Community College?
Passaic County Community College (PCCC) has an opening for a full-time 10-month tenure-track faculty position for teaching and leadership in its Psychology program beginning late August 2026.
PCCC is seeking someone with strong commitment to student learning and success and to serving a diverse community of students, many of whom are first generation college students.
Examples of Duties
- Teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in Psychology
- Employ a variety of instructional delivery methods, such as online, hybrid, Zoom, and in-person adaptable to different course delivery lengths (14-week, 12 week, 6 week, etc.)
- Actively engage students in High-Impact Practices, such as project-based learning and active learning
- Conduct outcomes assessment at the course, program, and institutional level
- Integrate instructional technology to heighten student engagement
- Support program development, student retention, and continuous quality improvement (program assessment)
- Participate in shared governance including departmental, divisional; and institutional-wide activities.
Qualifications
- Master's in Psychology required; Ph.D. preferred
- Prior experience with Blackboard or other LMS systems required
- College teaching experience in the discipline required; community college experience preferred

Compensation: The salary for this position is $59,000.
