What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct- English Language Studies position at Passaic County Community College?
We are seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach English Language Studies (English as a Second Language) in the daytime. Positions are expected to be available in the day and evening on the Main Campus in Paterson.
Examples of Duties:
- Teach assigned classes in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi.
- Meet all scheduled class sessions.
- Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.
- Participate in assessment activities in support of the PCCC institutional effectiveness program.
- Utilize the appropriate technology, including Blackboard (the College's student learning platform), to fulfill teaching duties.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in ESL, TESOL, or Applied Linguistics required.
- Experience teaching academic ESL to diverse populations.
- Experience teaching adult learners preferably at a community college.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $962 per credit taught.
