Qualifications
Required
- Fluent English communication skills
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work onsite at the Houston office
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience with ERP systems (NAV preferred)
- Japanese language ability
Supply Chain Administration
- Process supply chain documentation and data related to purchasing, shipments, and transportation
- Operate and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including troubleshooting when needed
- Train and support internal staff on administrative systems and processes
- Assist with supply chain projects and tasks assigned by the Supply Chain Manager
- Communicate with the Sales team to gather and summarize 3-month customer forecasts
- Track customer job schedules and validate demand against forecast data
- Monitor shipment trends versus demand volumes and input gap analysis into demand/production planning
- Track daily inventory levels and monitor replenishment timing based on sales orders
- Support purchase planning using WMS and inventory management processes
- Review required purchase quantities and timing based on forecasted demand
- Create purchase orders and coordinate submission to headquarters in Tokyo
- Manage documentation related to inventory and supply chain operations
- Coordinate local transportation for product transfers
- Receive and arrange shipments at warehouses and courier offices
- Maintain inventory accuracy through WMS and monitor inbound/outbound stock activity
- Work with distribution center teams to improve inventory control and warehouse efficiency
- Support initiatives to optimize warehousing operations, including logistics costs and inventory management
