JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting
Reports To: Director of Finance & Accounting
NATURE AND SCOPE
The Senior Manager of Finance & Accounting oversees the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A). This role partners closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, improve business performance, support strategic decision-making, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The position also provides leadership for the accounting team while partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reporting packages for executive leadership and the parent company.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Prepare working cash flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Manage annual financial statement audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Oversee franchise tax, property tax, and other corporate tax filings.
• Review and approve invoices while monitoring Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts, including cash, checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.
• Administer and review reviews in the Expense system.
• Continuously strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and departmental SOP documentation.
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Support the annual budgeting and long-range planning process.
• Prepare executive financial reports, KPI dashboards, and management presentations.
• Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability, and business performance.
• Perform budget, forecast, and prior-year variance analysis.
• Develop financial models supporting strategic initiatives and capital investments.
• Partner with department leaders to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial support to Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain leadership.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend initiatives to improve profitability.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
• Lead, coach, and develop the Accounting Specialist.
• Foster strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization.
• Assist with insurance administration, business licensing, and other corporate compliance activities.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors supporting ERP and finance systems.
• Lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, and professional conduct.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 8 years of progressive accounting, finance, and FP&A experience
• 3 years of people management experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial modeling
•Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
Preferred
• CPA and/or MBA
• Manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience
• Experience with external audits and consolidated financial reporting

Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
