Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage office staff to ensure efficient and effective administrative operations.
- Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit memos, and other financial processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle HR-related functions including hiring, termination, performance management, payroll, leave administration, workers’ compensation, and union matters.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support internal/external audits.
- Maintain a safe and well-organized work environment, coordinating facility repairs, maintenance, and supply management.
- Coordinate Safety Committee activities, ensuring safety standards are upheld and investigations are properly conducted.
- Collaborate with senior management to resolve issues that may impact productivity, safety, or workplace harmony.
- Perform other duties as needed to support ongoing business operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 10 years of administrative experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role (preferred).
- Strong leadership, management, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Payroll knowledge and HR management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing a diverse workforce.
- Experience in the food distribution industry preferred.
- Familiarity with Japanese business practices and Asian food culture is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
Salary : $54,000 - $64,000
