Please note: This is a site-based position at an active construction project. Extended work hours, weekends, may be required. Following project completion, employees may have opportunities to transition to future projects based on business needs.

Position Summary

Our client a Japanese industrial construction company is seeking an Assistant Area Supervisor to support the Area Supervisor and Area Manager on a large-scale manufacturing facility installation project.

This role is responsible for assisting with field supervision, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, safety oversight, quality control, and project reporting to help ensure successful project execution. Essential Duties

• Assist the Area Supervisor and Area Manager with day-to-day field operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
• Support quality inspections and coordinate testing as required.
• Participate in daily and weekly construction progress meetings.
• Maintain project documentation, including daily reports and progress updates.
• Monitor safety compliance and support OSHA standards through regular site inspections.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost tracking, and project close-out activities.
• Build effective working relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with both domestic and international project teams when required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial construction, mechanical/electrical installation, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Experience supporting industrial projects such as manufacturing plants, equipment installation, factory construction, or process facilities preferred.
• Strong field coordination and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working within project schedules and budgets.
• Working knowledge of construction practices, OSHA safety regulations, and basic construction contract concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience preparing daily logs, progress reports, and construction documentation.
• Experience working with Japanese clients, vendors, or project teams is a plus.
• Japanese language skills are preferred but not required.

• Experience with large-scale industrial or manufacturing facility projects.
• Mechanical or electrical installation experience.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple project stakeholders.
