What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Area Attendant position at Paso Robles Inn?
The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive public area of the property while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.
Job Responsibilities:
Use strong customer service and communication skills in all interactions with guests and team members.
Clean and organize the hotel property daily, including guest rooms and public areas, by collecting trash, soiled linens, and other items.
Prepare guest rooms after checkout by removing waste, handling soiled items, and separating materials for proper pickup.
Deliver requested items (e.g., towels, cribs, cots) to guest rooms in a timely and friendly manner.
Maintain and restock supplies in guest rooms, public areas, and storerooms; assist housekeeping or perform room attendant duties as needed.
Report missing or found items, damage, and maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, including restrooms (checked regularly), floors, windows, glass, doors, furniture, elevators, and fixtures; perform tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and waste removal.
Follow all safety and security procedures, conduct routine inspections, and support risk management practices.
Assist guests and team members as needed.
Physical Requirements:
The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Ascend and descend a ladder.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Experience and Education:
- Previous in a Hotel Public Areas position preferred but not required.
Pay: 18.17 per hour
