- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service while they explore our selection of Mediterranean sweets.
- Prepare and serve a tantalizing array of treats including scooping ice cream, making milkshakes and coffees, and preparing mini pancakes.
- Expertly plate and serve traditional favorites like Baklava, Turkish Delights (Lokum), and various specialty drinks.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing registers at the end of the night.
- Maintain a clean and stocked station throughout the shift to ensure efficient service and a professional presentation.
- Manage shop cleanliness by proactively cleaning tables, monitoring bathrooms, and ensuring trash is managed.
- Execute closing duties thoroughly, including putting away inventory, sweeping, mopping, and deep-cleaning stations and bathrooms to prepare for the next day.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety in a fast-paced, late-night environment.
Requirements
- Availability to work late-night hours (6:00 PM – 2:00 AM) Friday through Saturday is essential.
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, but a willingness to learn our specific dessert preparation is key.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols within the food industry.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks like serving and cleaning during busy weekend rushes.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that fits our "sweet" atmosphere.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Ability to multi-task between food preparation, guest relations, and shop maintenance.
