JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing highly diversified craft trade activities with a focus on Water/Sewer under general supervision.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in various aspects of water and sewer utilities maintenance; pipefitting, repair and service of backflow preventer devices and irrigation well systems; working electrical knowledge in installation, repairing and troubleshooting lift station and well motor/pump control circuitry; all phases of installation, repair and service at DEP permitted water and wastewater treatment facilities; grounds work of SWFWMD permitted storm water systems and other District wide sites as requested.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or Vocational Degree from an accredited institution
- Two years’ experience of a skilled trade or general building maintenance
- OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
- Valid and current Florida driver’s license
- Must maintain a driving record that meets the standards of the District Safe Driver II Plan. Driver’s license must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- All hires must submit to and pass an initial drug test and subsequent random drug tests in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 112.0455 and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
