Essential Job Functions
Provides customer service functions in support to the Animal Services – Pet Services team. Answers telephone calls and directs them accordingly. Types letters, reports, forms, and correspondence. Maintains records and reports on a personal computer. Performs data retrieval and entry into a software application. Performs other clerical functions as needed such as processing mail, filing and scanning. Performs related work as required.

- Knowledge of standard office methods and procedures.
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
- Knowledge of County departments, operations and regulations.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Ability to meet and deal with people effectively.
- Ability to use a personal computer and related software.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to learn the procedures and operations of the unit to which assigned.
- Ability to type accurately on a personal computer.
- Ability to communicate with others in person, via telephone, in writing and on-line.
- Ability to read for comprehension.
Minimum Requirements
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma. One (1) year of experience in customer service duties involving frequent public contact. Experience in the operation of a personal computer required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
