Dishwasher
A Dishwasher at any Smith restaurant ensures that the kitchen stays clean and organized. They set up dish stations, and turn on dish cleaning machines. They are responsible for removing used kitchenware from dining and cooking areas and unloading the dishwashing machine. They wash specific items by hand, or put them in a clean area that is ready to use again. They make sure there is always enough utensils to use during high-volume hours.
A great Dishwasher is detail oriented, highly organized, and an excellent communicator. They always keep their station and environment impeccable to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met. They will work closely with their teammates by communicating powerfully to ensure a smooth operation and enjoyable experience for guests. Commitment, enthusiasm, integrity, humility, sense of team, and grace under pressure are required.
Accountabilities include
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machines
- Wash specific items by hand (wooden cutting boards, large pots, etc.)
- Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils; especially during high-volume hours
- Maintain washing machine’s operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
- Remove garbage regularly
- Sanitize kitchen area, including the floor
- Clock in and out for every shift using kiosk terminal

Salary : $17 - $20
