Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Entry-Level Fabricator (Metal & Wood) to join our team. In this role, you’ll design and build custom wood products, furniture, cabinetry, and fixtures from raw materials to finished pieces. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricating metal/plastic/wood/composite components using basic tools and equipment
- Draw, read and/or interpret basic shop drawings and work orders
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ensure product accuracy
- Operate basic machinery such as saws, grinders, and drills (training provided)
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials according to specifications
- Perform sanding, gluing, clamping, and finishing tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Load, unload, and organize materials and products
- Support team members in various tasks as needed
- Communicate with team members to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and woodworking equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to do hands-on work
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience in welding, fabricating, woodworking, carpentry, cabinetry, or related trade
- Knowledge of different materials, i.e. metals, wood, etc.
- Familiarity with CNC routers or CAD software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD)
