Duties
- Processing Transactions: Responsible for handling cash, credit, debit and check payments accurately, using POS system, applying discounts or promotions, and making changes when necessary. Following company cash handling procedures to prevent discrepancies and company return policies.
- Product Handling: Scanning items, bagging purchases and ensuring correct pricing.
- Maintaining Checkout Area: Keeping the register & surrounding area clean, organized and free of clutter.
- Customer service: Ability to interact clearly and courteously providing good customer service.
Skills
- Basic Math & Numeracy
- Familiarity with POS system
- Basic computer skills
- Problem solving: Handling customer complaints, returns and pricing discrepancies calmly and efficiently.
