The Jobat aGlance
Asthe UXDirector(Chief User Advocate)you willbe at the core of making finding and buying parts fast,easyand maybe even fun! Youwillestablisha team of UXprofessionalsexperienced with collaborating on or drivinguser research, interviews,surveysand design. You will translateyourresearchinto user flows, customer journey maps, mockups, and wireframes for both our website andmobileapps(iOS andAndroid). You will work closely withourbusiness partners,usersanddevelopment teamtocreate the bestuser-drivenexperiencepossiblefornewfeatures andfunctionality.Advocate forqualitativeandquantitativefeedback to drivecustomer behavior tofind ways of reducing friction throughout the purchase process.
A Typical Day
- Establish,ownand drive the UX practice including definition, strategy, execution,measurementand governance, putting ourcustomersat the center ofyourdesign strategy.
- Infuse acustomer-backmindset across the organization. Be the champion and change leader to integrateUser Experienceinto cross-functional processesand evangelize across the Parts Town business.
- Actively engage with the customers and product leaders to prioritize roadmap capabilities that delivereasy and innovativecustomer experiencesthat drivesuccessful business outcomes, andmaximizeuser adoption,utilization, and retention.
- Lead and mentor a team of UX researchers and designers, build a culture of inspiring design outcomes, and drive streamlined execution to deliver UX projects on time, on scope, and on budget.
- Develop andmaintaina compelling and frictionless user journey for all user groups that engage within the Parts Town ecommerce channels.Continuallyvalidatethose experiencesusing qualitative and quantitative user feedback.
- Ensure a consistent, on-brand UXacrosschannels andtouchpointsalong the customer journey, so customersknowand trust the experience.
- Lead creationofa UXcomponentlibraryand specificationsfor simplified and consistent ecommerce capability development
- Partner with product management,marketing,engineering,customer insights, andcustomer success organizationsto measure product usage using UX metrics and seek alignment on how product roadmap capabilities will move the needle on the key metrics.
- Stay current on industry trends, design standards and technological advancements, and competitive analysis working with theproduct,marketing, business, and innovationteams.
To Land This Opportunity
- You have5 years in a UX leadership role in defining and executingaUX practiceand candemonstrateportfolio evolution and execution.
- You'vedelivered aproventrack recordof successful user experience research and/or design ofomni channelapplications.
- You areComfortable presenting tosenior leadership.
- Youare a player coach who can think as well as do, happyat 30,000or1000 ftview to engageonbusiness strategy, as well as dive deepto apixel level to coach the UX team and lead by example.
- You are well versed with UX best practices, design principles, and execution models.
- You are highly data-driven in decision making practices and executive reporting.
- You have experiencedesigning forenterprise class software servicesand working in an Agile development environment.
- You have experience incubating new product offerings in new segments in nimble iterations; you appreciate andfrequentlyutilizeprototyping tofacilitateiterative design.
- Youpossessphenomenal written and verbal communication skills;youinspireothers andinjectenergy and enthusiasm into the organization.
- You are a deep believer and subscriber to a growth mindset mentality, where decisiveness and failing fast and forward is embraced.
- Your B2B ecommerce experience is a plus.

Thesalaryrange for this role is $141,449.87 - $209,503.47 which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is apayfor performance-company. In addition to basepay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
