Job Description:
Join our team at Partnership Community Health Care Center Inc as an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Appleton, WI. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to help our accounts receivable processes and ensure timely and accurate collections. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization and supporting our mission of providing accessible healthcare services to all members of our community.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree from an accredited college in business field preferred.
- Medical and Dental Billing and Coding certificate preferred.
Knowledge of revenue cycle operations, insurance eligibility/benefits, and information systems.
- Knowledge of government and other commercial insurance carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support PCHC leadership in achievement of revenue cycle goals.
Collaborate with health center leadership to ensure that operations and processes remain consistent and emulate best practices.
Submit claims and/or vouchers to all payers according to department policies and procedures, assuring accuracy and timeliness.
Research and resolve balances in Dentrix and/or Epic charges that meet the criteria for the work queues.
- Other work queues (WQ) as created Assist patients with billing questions. This could be done face to face or via telephone.
Ensure all documentation for hardship application is completed and received for further review by leadership.
Monitor all payment plans in Epic and/or Dentrix to ensure they are being maintained.
Assist with patient statements to ensure they are sent in accordance with protocol.
Work collaboratively with others to promote communication and achieve PCHC goals.
Review accounts that could qualify for referral to third party collection agency or internal bad debt adjustment.
Work with all departments to ensure PCHC successfully bill appropriate payers for services.
Participate in cross training for other business office positions.
