Position Summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Anaheim, CA is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant II to support its growing finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within a manufacturing or production environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards while providing financial insights that drive strategic decisions.

This role is best suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Manage accounts receivable and collection activities across multiple locations:
• Generate and distribute customer invoices.
• Process and apply payments in ERP systems.
• Monitor aging reports and perform collection follow-ups when necessary.
• Oversee accounts payable processes:
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of vendor invoices.
• Collaborate with purchasing and receiving to resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies.
• Prepare and process weekly vendor payments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities for multiple business units.
• Assist with internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts and other key accounts.
• Contribute to ERP and AP automation software implementations and process improvements.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects and support additional accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (such as Global Shop, Epicor, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and time management capabilities.
