Strategic Buyer

Reports to: SCPM Director

We’re seeking a proactive and analytical Strategic Buyer to support our direct and indirect materials sourcing. In this role, you will lead purchasing initiatives, drive cost-saving strategies, develop strong supplier relationships, and support global sourcing efforts across the organization. What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end procurement for direct and indirect materials.
- Support the development and execution of global sourcing strategies.
- Analyze local sourcing markets and supplier capabilities.
- Lead RFQ processes, quote analysis, supplier proposals, and Sourcing Board submissions.
- Maintain purchasing data, orders, and supplier info in SAP and SRM.
- Build and strengthen supplier relationships while aligning with internal stakeholders.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management for local projects.
- Identify, qualify, and evaluate local suppliers in coordination with Purchasing and Legal.
- Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, standards, and authorization guidelines.
- Support resolution of quality and delivery issues through escalation processes.
- Drive continual cost-saving initiatives, including localization opportunities.
- Achieve annual purchasing KPIs and support risk recovery plans.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and improvement projects.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of purchasing or supply chain management experience.
- Strong understanding of purchasing regulations, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in SAP (preferred) and advanced Excel.
Salary : $85,000 - $93,000
