Plant Controller
Drive Financial Performance in a Growing Manufacturing Environment
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Plant Controller to lead the financial operations of our manufacturing and recycling facility. This is a key leadership role that partners directly with plant and executive leadership to drive profitability, operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do
Financial Leadership & Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary finance leader for the plant, partnering closely with Operations and Executive Leadership to drive business performance.
- Provide meaningful financial analysis and recommendations that support operational improvements, cost control initiatives, and profitability goals.
- Develop, monitor, and report key financial and operational performance metrics (KPIs).
- Prepare and present monthly financial results, forecasts, and business performance updates to senior leadership.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Review and analyze general ledger activity, identify trends, and investigate variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, subsidiary ledgers, and overall financial integrity.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital performance.
Planning, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the facility.
- Support strategic planning initiatives through financial modeling and business analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance financial performance across operations.
Compliance, Controls & Audit
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and reporting procedures.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, serving as the primary point of contact for auditors.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation, asset disposals, and lease accounting.
Strategic Projects
- Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other corporate initiatives.
- Participate in special projects that improve financial visibility, operational effectiveness, and business growth.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of plant accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience supporting audits and SOX compliance.
- ERP experience required; SAP experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze large data sets and convert information into actionable business insights.

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
