Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Electro-Mechanical)

Partners Personnel - Santa Barbara
Adairsville, GA Full Time
POSTED ON 8/7/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/4/2026

Step into a day as our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

The plant hums to life. You’ve already reviewed overnight CMMS work orders, prioritized a predictive task on a conveyor gearbox, and lined up parts for a scheduled motor swap. A production line pauses—an operator flags a sensor fault—and you’re on it, reading the schematic, tracing a control circuit, and returning the line to service with minimal downtime. By mid-shift, you’ve completed a LOTO procedure for a pump inspection, documented everything cleanly, and partnered with engineering on a small modification that boosts reliability. Before you clock out, you do a 5S sweep, update leadership on a recurring issue, and prep for a weekend PM blitz.

What you’ll take ownership of

  • Keeping manufacturing equipment and facility systems running through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues across motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and more.
  • Executing installations, inspections, and maintenance that reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals to solve problems quickly.
  • Handling core electrical troubleshooting: motors, sensors, switches, relays, and control circuits.
  • Supporting equipment installs, modifications, and continuous improvement projects that elevate reliability and efficiency.
  • Capturing accurate work details in our CMMS and communicating equipment status with production and leadership.
  • Upholding 5S, OSHA, and LOTO standards; using the right PPE every time and modeling a safety-first mindset.
  • Collaborating across production, engineering, and other teams; responding to emergencies when needed.
  • Showing dependable attendance and flexibility for overtime or alternate shifts as operations require.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED (technical/vocational training preferred).
  • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and strong experience troubleshooting industrial equipment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, and power transmission.
  • Comfort reading blueprints and electrical diagrams and navigating equipment manuals.
  • Experience with hand/power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Basic computer skills; familiarity with CMMS is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with clear communication and a commitment to safety.

Preferred extras

  • Industrial Maintenance Technician or equivalent technical certification.
  • PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, robotics, or automated equipment experience.
  • Welding, fabrication, or machining background.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial lift certifications.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
