Job Coach- My Neighbors' Closet Thrift Store

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Job Coach to join our team at My Neighbors’ Closet Thrift Store in Mansfield, PA. This role supports Individuals with disabilities as they build job skills, confidence, and independence in a real-world work setting. Schedule: 32.5 hours/week | Day Shift approximately 8:45am-3:15pm | Monday-Friday with an occassional Saturday shift.

Pay Rate: $16.41 hr

As a Job Coach, you'll:

Provide hands-on training and support to individuals in vocational and community work settings

Implement job coaching plans (OVR, IEP, Supported Employment, etc.)

Help individuals build independence, confidence, and self-advocacy skills

Offer guidance with workplace expectations, social integration, and life management skills

Maintain accurate documentation and reports

Build positive relationships with local employers, schools, Supports Coordinators, and community partners

Adjust your coaching schedule to align with individuals' work schedules

Step in and model tasks when needed - leading by example

Support successful long-term job placements

This is a highly interactive role where you'll be on your feet, working directly alongside the individuals you support.

Physical & Practical Requirements

This role includes:

Moving between worksites

Standing and walking for extended periods

Bending, lifting, and moving items (up to 50 lbs occasionally)

Using a computer, smartphone, tablet for documentation and trainings

Driving between locations as needed

Clear communication and customer service skills (in person, email, and over the phone)

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Must have one (1) of the following groups of qualifications to perform Job Coaching duties:

Associate's Degree and one (1) year of experience working directly with persons with developmental disabilities;
or
High School Diploma (or GED) and three (3) years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities;
or
An equivalent combination of education experience as outlined above.

DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory three (3) year driving history in order to be considered an agency approved driver by the agency's vehicle insurance carrier.

Background Clearances conducted after job offer/acceptance.
