Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Portland, ME, for a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, and ensuring compliance with organizational accounting policies. Daily tasks include processing donations, checks and cash deposits, downloading online transactions, keeping current with accounts payable, ensuring there is authorizations on all purchases, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Bookkeeping, and maintaining accurate records
- Proficient with QuickBooks desktop or QuickBooks online
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in nonprofit accounting is a plus
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
