Responsibilities
Assists the program team in carrying out program plans, provides personal care assistance to clients and acts as a valuable team member supporting assigned ratios.
Assists in the design and implementation of group and individual instruction, including data collection and goal implementation under the supervision of the assigned Program Specialist and/or Instructor.

Responsibilities
Assists the program team in carrying out program plans, provides personal care assistance to clients and acts as a valuable team member supporting assigned ratios.
Assists in the design and implementation of group and individual instruction, including data collection and goal implementation under the supervision of the assigned Program Specialist and/or Instructor.
- Provides input into individual assessments, outcomes and goals.
- Directly supervises program participants at required ratio during scheduled work hours within the facility and during community participation supports.
- Provides behavioral supports, including execution of SEEP (Social, Environmental & Emotional Support Plans), Restrictive Procedure Plans and Behavior Plans as written.
- Provides personal assistance, including lifts and transfers.
- Completes all required paperwork within assigned timeframes.
- Promotes skill growth and independence of clients.
- Acts as a role model for positive client behavior.
- Assists the program with identifying and maintaining community involvement activities for clients.
- Transports clients by vehicle (PA Driver Licensed staff only.)
- Maintains and organizes the work area.
- Addresses clients unmet safety or welfare needs apparent during program hours.
- Performs relevant and reasonable work assigned by the Director.
- Maintains safe/healthy environment.
- Participates in meetings and trainings as assigned by supervisor.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff with day to day responsibilities.

Qualifications
- High school education and preferably one year of experience in working with persons with disabilities or in another care giving role.
- Act 33 & Act 34 clearances
- CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
- First Aid
- Medication Administration (trained staff only)
- Valid PA Driver’s license, if transporting
- 24 hours training per year
