POSITION: Direct Support Professional - Job Coach - Crews

STATUS: Full-Time; 40 hours / week

SCHEDULE:

LOCATION: Robinson Township

Citizen Care Inc., a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are a non-profit organization, accredited by the Council on Quality & Leadership. Citizen Care has locations throughout the West Hills and South Hills of Allegheny County.

Responsibilities

Responsible to the Site Manager for providing supports and services to people with intellectual disabilities by:

• Assisting people to achieve/realize personal outcomes/personal goals
• Assisting people with basic personal care needs
• Assisting people with their health and dietary needs
• Assisting people to experience community life
• Assisting people in refining their vocational and social skills
• Assisting people with safety and security
• Accurate paperwork and record keeping, including but not limited to completion of all components of each individual’s Plan for Services and Supports, as well as all contract forms/time sheets
• Assisting with medical concerns
• Interacting positively with people at all times
• Interacting professionally with the general public/business contacts
• Assisting in the overall operations of the facility by providing a safe, healthy, and productiveenvironment that nurtures success and fosters a rewarding experience for all people receiving services and employees
• Personal/Professional development including attending mandatory meetings and in-services as scheduled by the Site Manager
• Other related duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• A valid Pennsylvania, Ohio or West Virginia driver’s license
• Two (2) years experience in the field of Human Services.
• One (1) year experience with job training preferred
• Must be dependable and be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to lift and transfer without restriction
• Excellent references, both personal and professional
  
  

Minimum Compensation

USD $18.50/Hr.

Maximum Compensation

USD $18.75/Hr.
