Job Summary
Partners Dental Studio is seeking a motivated and experienced 3D Manufacturing Lead to oversee our advanced 3D printing operations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of production workflows, lead a small team of technicians, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dental products using both metal and resin printers. This role requires technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.
This position is designed with future growth in mind, including the potential for supervisory responsibilities as the department and company continue to expand.
Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the 3D printing department, ensuring production goals and deadlines are consistently met.
- Supervise and mentor 3D Printing Technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Operate and maintain metal and resin 3D printing equipment, including Trumpf, Carbon, and HeyGears printers.
- Utilize and optimize nesting software for efficient production planning.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes, including inspection of printed parts to ensure adherence to standards.
- Monitor equipment performance, schedule preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, introduce best practices, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure accurate documentation of production data, maintenance records, and process changes.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in 3D printing (metal and/or resin) or additive manufacturing required; leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with nesting software and CAD/CAM tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members in a production environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Positive, dependable, and proactive work style.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a workstation.
- Ability to stand, move around, and lift up to 15 lbs throughout the shift.
