Position Description
The Investment Associate located in New York will be a key part of teams that manage multi-asset class client portfolios. In addition, the Investment Associate will have exposure to asset manager diligence projects and will be expected to contribute to broader Firm development.
Client Portfolio Management (Primary Focus): The Investment Associate will primarily work in teams of three to six people to specify, develop and execute our clients’ investment strategies. This process will involve, among other things: establishing a long-term asset allocation strategy, analyzing and selecting approved investment funds to achieve this strategy, monitoring portfolio exposures and continuously improving the investment line-up and producing for client meetings to report on investment performance and discuss investment strategy. With support and training, we expect the Investment Associate to grow into a position to be able to attend these meetings and develop relationships with clients.
Other (Secondary Focus): As with all other members of the Firm, the Investment Associate will take on other activities and projects that contribute to the success of the business. Examples may include: researching and improving our portfolio construction approach, assisting with business development and/or helping to develop our technological capabilities.
Key responsibilities will be regularly assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Responsible for ensuring all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team
- Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels
Qualifications / Attributes
- Active passion for investing
- 2-4 years’ experience in a professional services role (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, or asset management)
- Undergraduate degree with a strong track record of academic achievement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Strong quantitative skills and detail-orientation
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment
- High intellectual curiosity and willingness to contribute to the overall success of the business

New York requires Partners Capital to include a reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role. This base salary range is specific to individuals applying to work in our New York office and takes into account a number of factors. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in New Yok is $105,000-$140,000. The base salary offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
The base salary is one element of our competitive compensation package. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives and our profit share program.
