Position Description
The Client Reporting Associate located in Boston will be an integral member of the North America Client Operations team and will report directly to a Boston-based Principal in the Client Reporting department. The Client Reporting Associate is responsible for supporting the preparation, validation, and delivery of high-quality investment performance reports and materials to clients. This role ensures accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all client-facing documents and supports ad hoc reporting needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and client-focused, with strong communication and technical skills.
The Client Reporting Team is primarily responsible for supporting the firm’s client management efforts through account reconciliations and the production of monthly and quarterly performance reports. The candidate will be responsible for all areas of performance reporting across a range of client accounts, including investment data input, validation, troubleshooting, and process management. As key stakeholders of portfolio data and client-facing reports, team members are expected to have a strong understanding of alternative investments and the ability to efficiently and accurately produce consolidated reports while meeting deadlines. Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable interacting with internal client teams and colleagues, daily, by serving as the primary internal point-of-contact for all reporting inquiries.

Client Account Reconciliation:
- Track and reconcile daily cash movements within client portfolios through coordination with internal teams and external service providers
- Drive completion of cash and position reconciliations across assigned client accounts and/or custodians
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal and external records (e.g., custodian, administrator)
Monthly and Quarterly Client Reporting:
- Assist with collection and input of fund manager performance data into proprietary systems
- Assume responsibility and accountability for production and review of monthly “flash” reports and quarterly statements across assigned client accounts
- Reconcile client transactional activity and fund manager performance data versus the benchmarks, and document any deviations for review by the Client Service Team
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the generated and reviewed reports
- Drive completion of client consolidated/legacy reporting by ensuring data completeness and accuracy, and working with the Client Service Team as needed
- Assist with distribution of client reporting including any custom formatting, and upload to online client portal
Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
- Track and gather client tax documents such as K-1s and 1099s
- Manage communication with and provide high-level service to internal client teams on all reporting inquiries. Investigate, drive solutions, and effectively communicate responses to all impacted stakeholders.
- Review current Client Reporting Team processes and procedures to help identify areas of improvement and system enhancements
- Key responsibilities will be regularly assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications / Attributes
The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative skills, be detail focused, and have an interest in investment and capital markets. A flexible entrepreneurial approach, an appetite for challenge and a good “team player” are essential qualities.
- 2 years prior work experience. Investment operations experience is preferred but not required.
- Undergraduate degree (any field). Strong GPA and SAT scores.
- High degree of attention to detail and experience inputting and reviewing large sets of data.
- Organization and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced investment environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Articulate self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Team player who is willing to do whatever it takes to contribute to the success of the business.
- Comfortable receiving and providing feedback from/to direct manager and Partners.
- Strong Excel and data management skills; familiarity with databases and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, or proprietary systems) is a plus.

Massachusetts requires Partners Capital to include a reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role. This base salary range is specific to individuals applying to work in our Massachusetts office and takes into account a number of factors. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $65,000 - $75,000. The base salary offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
The base salary is one element of our competitive compensation package. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
