Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and oversee a 24/7 manufacturing operation. The Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role provides strategic leadership for plant operations, drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages resources, and serves as the key link between production teams, upper management, and cross-functional departments.
Job Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet or exceed customer expectations and production goals.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols and ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Establish and maintain quality control standards, ensuring all products meet required specifications and driving continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to enhance product quality and reduce waste.
• Develop and coordinate manufacturing schedules, optimize workflow, and allocate resources (personnel, equipment, raw materials) effectively to achieve production targets and on-time shipping.
• Prepare and manage operational and capital budgets, analyze costs, and implement cost-reduction measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Recruit, hire, train, and manage plant personnel, including supervisors and production workers. This involves motivating the team, resolving conflicts, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment and the facility to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Collect and analyze production data and performance metrics (Key Performance Indicators) to identify areas for improvement and report progress to the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing people and working hands-on in a plant environment
• Experience working in manufacturing environments involving hazardous materials, chemicals, or high-temperature processes
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Experience working in a PSM environment
