Duties
- Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paint, stains, coatings, and sealants using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray equipment), and other hand or power tools
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications
- Perform structural painting tasks on walls, ceilings, fixtures, trim carpentry, stucco, masonry, and other surfaces in both interior and exterior settings
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting including plastering, concrete finishing, masonry work, and restoration projects
- Follow safety regulations diligently by using respiratory protection equipment and adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites
- Assist with renovation projects by installing fixtures, performing drywall repairs, framing carpentry tasks, and supporting handyman duties as needed
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction estimating and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (airless and conventional), and coating application
- Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects
- Skilled in surface preparation methods such as sanding, caulking, priming, plastering, and stucco application
- Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., putty knives), power tools (e.g., drills), scaffolding ladders safely (ladder use), and specialized equipment like paint sprayers
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and construction schematics for accurate project execution
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area or material quantities
- Experience with industrial painting processes including surface preparation for large-scale projects or restoration work
- Knowledge of safety regulations specific to construction sites including respiratory protection protocols
- Hands-on experience with fixture installation, remodeling tasks such as trim carpentry or frame carpentry, welding or masonry is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with visual color comparison skills for precise color matching in renovation projects

Pay: $24.44 - $29.43 per hour
