Description:
We are working closely with the “Senior Director of PMO” of a major multi-hospital health system based in Philadelphia, PA 19104. Our client is seeking a Senior Epic Project Manager that is ready to hit the ground running, providing leadership on an array of concurrent Healthcare IT projects that include applications upgrades / implementations. Experience implementing Epic Procedure Documentation is required.
Key Accountabilities:
- Delegates duties and responsibilities among team members. Fosters collaborative and productive relationships among team members. Resolves disputes and disciplinary issues among team members. Communicates appropriately with Executive Program Director and Product Directors regarding shared work and dependencies across multiple groups.
- Utilizes established Enterprise project management standards, processes, policies, methodologies and tools established by the Program Management Office to manage timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Interfaces with Enterprise and Clinical leadership to align the work of the systems groups with the strategic goals of the enterprise.
- Functions as an advocate / change agent and serves as a positive role model for encouraging others to embrace operational changes and transformation associated with the technology projects.
- Leads the development of appropriate metrics for quality, performance, usage, and outcomes related to clinical information systems.
- Collects and aggregates data with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provides clear and comprehensive summary reports to the PMO.
Required Skills:
- Experience with ProcDoc
- ProcDoc workflows are often tied to procedure orders, procedure notes, charge capture, and clinical documentation
- Common ProcDoc components include:
- Procedure Notes – Documentation of the procedure, findings, complications, and outcomes
- NoteWriter Integration – Structured point-and-click documentation that can generate the procedure note and support charge capture
- Order Linkage – Connects the procedure documentation to the original procedure order
- Charge Capture – May automatically generate billing charges based on the documented procedure
- Clinical Record Integration – Stores the procedure documentation as part of the patient's permanent Epic chart
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or Clinical-related field
- 5 years of hospital / healthcare project management experience is required
- Hospital IS / IT background required
- EMR background and Epic experience, with Epic Procedure Documentation experience preferred
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
- Proven ability to manage all stages of the project management life cycle
- Extensive experience managing large, complex projects
- Must have experience with Application upgrades and implementations in hospital setting
- Communications skills must be strong, with the ability to communicate in the C-suite and other executive stakeholders, end user customers, and through to individual team members
- Healthcare IT project management experiences
- Experience in implementing information systems, clinical initiatives, including electronic healthcare, academic and research systems.
