SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The position is performed via the phone and in-person involving contacting members, local businesses, and the Denver Water community in order to discuss and grow credit union products.  


CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Make outbound calls as requested with provided current member information
  • Promote and Cross-sell credit union products- including loan referrals
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends to support local business development. 
  • Work from Denver Water branch to help members with questions, concerns, loan closings, and all other ASR transactions.
  • Must be able to meet product quotas monthly.
  • Perform all other duties as requested
  • Understands the Partner Branch Goals.
  • Understands the Partner Sales Philosophy.
  • Understand the Members Relationship Cycle and the importance of retaining members.
  • Demonstrates a high level of product and service expertise.
  • See the “Big Picture” of member retention and organization growth.
  • Offer alternatives to members and create “win-win” situations.
  • Identify solutions and do the right thing, making sound decisions in resolving account problems and issues.
  • Serve the members’ timely, always going the extra mile to make experience fulfilling and satisfying for the member.
  • Understands current business and industry trends.
  • Refer loan applications and submit for approval. Review and explain documentation to the member including term, interest rates, payment, insurance, etc. 
  • Ensure that all loan documents are prepared and accurate prior to the closing of the loan.
  • Be prompt and always follow through with members’ either verbal or otherwise.
  • Be aware of competition weaknesses- use to credit union’s advantage.
  • Meet the training requirements per month either on-line, attending classes, one on one training, taking on-line compliance/product knowledge courses and test.
  • Responsible for meeting established monthly loan goals.
  • Adheres to all policies of the credit union.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Effective and efficient communication skills.  
  • Ability to diffuse irate members, listen to and answer questions members are attempting to ask, but do not know how to phrase accurately. 
  • Ability to work on projects in between phone calls without compromising quality of either function.
  • Ability to identify competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and uses the information in selling products.
  • Displays product and service knowledge, using effective selling techniques.
  • Displays positive and upbeat attitude within department with regard to sales goals.
  • Proactively seeks training to upgrade both knowledge and technique.
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to work in a one employee branch.
  • Displays proficiency in the use of technical systems.

EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent


EXPERIENCE

One-year outstanding experience in customer service field.

One-year goal and sales-oriented engrossment.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting hourly rate - $20.00 depending on experience
