Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individual with William Syndrome in various settings, including home and community. The ideal candidate will assist client with daily activities, monitor health status, and promote independence while ensuring safety and comfort. Prior experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred, along with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming.
- Provide individual observation and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light cleaning tasks
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams and family members
- Follow care plans meticulously and adapt to changing client needs
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring.
- Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments
- Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude towards clients of all ages
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and handle physical demands of caregiving tasks
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy
- Valid driver’s license for community-based roles
