This is a salaried position that requires you to be onsite in the office full time, Monday through Friday.
ParTec Solutions Inc is a business providing Information Technology (IT) services to businesses in the upstate of South Carolina.
We are looking for an IT Help Desk & Technician to be the first responder for user's IT questions and needs, onsite. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people in an office environment and who likes problem solving.
You will be responding to user’s request for IT assistance and performing various maintenance and organizational tasks we prescribe to you. Requests generally come in the form of a ticket, but if not, you will create tickets for the user. For simpler user requests you will handle the requests on your own per our operating guidelines; all other requests you will escalate as necessary.
You need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac operating systems (workstations, not servers.) You will also be expected to assist users with questions about Microsoft Office, browsers and similar user applications. A fundamental knowledge of computer hardware is necessary to be able to perform basic tasks such as moving a workstation, assessing and fixing easier hardware issues such as RAM or hard disk replacement. You will be involved in ongoing maintenance and software updates for user workstations.
Post high-school education in Information Technology or similar field is a requirement, or multiple certifications like CompTIA A including IT work experience in a business environment may also be considered as fulfillment of the education requirement.
