Position: Pharmacy TechnicianKey Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacist in filling prescriptions and preparing IV medications
- Support order processing (packing, labeling, loading/unloading items like ice, syringes, gauze, etc.)
- Handle phone calls and take messages as needed
- Track and manage labs for faxing
- Perform dispatch tasks (scan orders, verify accuracy, print labels)
- Assist with inventory management (receiving, rotating stock, tracking lot numbers & expiration dates)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support data entry and billing processes for prescription fulfillment
Additional Information:
- Works under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
- Involves multi-tasking (“wear many hats”) due to short staffing
- Includes a filing project (~40 hours)
- Potential to convert into a full-time opportunity based on performance
