This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM, Saturday as needed
Job Summary:
The Service Manager/Floor Supervisor will be responsible for overall service productivity and profitability. Employees in this position will manage the scheduling, hiring and discipline of the Truck Tire Service Technicians. Safety and customer satisfaction is the primary focus for all employees at Parrish Tire Company.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Coordinate daily service calls, dispatch road techs, oversee drive up business, and manage fleet programs.
- Resolve all service-related issues to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Hire and maintain a proper Service Technician workforce suitable to the workload to achieve maximum productivity and minimal overtime.
- Oversee the training of all Tire Service Technicians.
- Track maintenance of all service equipment.
- Maintain records on all service trucks and daily trip pre-inspections.
- Ensure all PTC company policies and safety regulations are understood and obeyed by all service personnel. (PTC, TIA, NCDOL, OSHA Safety Standards)
- Lead monthly safety meetings.
- Complete annual performance reviews on each service department employee.
- Monitor and control all service department expenses by reviewing productivity and expense reports with Store Manager.
- Tag and track used tires as they are received.
- Assist in quarterly inventory counts.
- Oversee the general cleanliness of the service department and surrounding areas.
- Communicate ideas and plans for improvement of the service department with Store Manager.
- Schedule primary and secondary technicians for 24-hour Roadside Assistance.
- Create invoices for local billing and national accounts as needed.
- Promote cooperation between all departments in the store.
- Create and maintain a positive work attitude in the service department toward all customers and employees.
- Work with Store Manager daily to secure and control inventory.
- Any other duties assigned by the store manager
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-6 years of management experience in the commercial tire industry
- Must have a valid driving license
- Candidate must possess mechanical aptitude

Required Physical Abilities:
Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
Work Environment:
This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
