Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Handyman to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be essential in keeping our buildings and equipment in top shape, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and possesses a broad set of skills across various maintenance disciplines. You’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from electrical repairs to carpentry, all while supporting the overall upkeep of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building interior systems, including plumbing, electrical equipment, HVAC systems, and mechanical components.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out tasks such as carpentry, painting, welding, and general repairs.
- Maintain facilities equipment by conducting inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Assist with plumbing system maintenance and repair to ensure proper operation of water supply and drainage systems.
- Support maintenance painting projects for residential or commercial spaces to enhance appearance and protect surfaces.
- Supervise or collaborate with other team members on complex projects while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and repair operations (MRO).
- Skilled in welding, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance.
- Excellent use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments like ohmmeters.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting and customer service interactions.
- Leadership or supervising experience is a plus for guiding team efforts on larger projects.
