- Review contracts, plans, specifications, and project scope.
- Schedule crews, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Order materials (pavers, retaining wall block, plants, irrigation supplies, soil, mulch, etc.).
- Coordinate deliveries to job sites.
- Create and maintain project timelines.
- Supervise landscape and hardscape crews.
- Assign daily tasks and priorities.
- Ensure crews have the necessary tools, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor productivity and labor hours.
- Train and mentor crew leaders and employees.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Conduct project walkthroughs before, during, and after installation.
- Address customer questions, concerns, and change requests.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients and general contractors.
- Track labor, material, and equipment costs.
- Monitor project profitability.
- Approve purchase orders and invoices.
- Identify cost overruns and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with change orders and additional work pricing.
- Ensure work meets company standards and contract requirements.
- Verify proper installation of:
- Retaining walls
- Paver patios and walkways
- Drainage systems
- Irrigation systems
- Plantings and landscaping
- Conduct final inspections.
- Enforce company safety policies.
- Conduct job site safety inspections.
- Ensure OSHA compliance.
- Investigate and document accidents or incidents.
- Verify equipment is being operated safely.
- Complete daily project reports.
- Track job progress and production rates.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Submit photos and updates to management.
- Assist with billing and project closeout paperwork.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of landscape or construction management experience.
- Knowledge of hardscape installation methods.
- Ability to read blueprints and site plans.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with scheduling and budgeting.
- Valid driver's license.
